thinking bout getting a pedersoli frontier .36 flinter for target shooting and small game. any ideas where I might be able to get one and should I go with a .36? I already have a T/C Hawken .50 for big game.

Go somewhere where you can actually pick up and shoulder the gun before you buy. Some of those foreign guns have no cast off and very little drop and are difficult to get a sight picture.

zimmerstutzen, as an example to your comments about shouldering a gun before you buy, I have tried Traditions Pennsylvania rifles a couple times and just cannot get the sights lined up without really craning my head around. Perhaps my neck is just too long, but I don't have that problem with my Great Plains Rifle or TC Renegade, pull them up and the sights are right there.

A friend of mine who is rather short, 5'8" has a traditions Pa rifle. We still had to replace the sights and put on sights that are 5/8 inch high. Looks goofy.
