Cauliflower mushrooms are considered choice.. You will find them at the base of oak and or pine trees.

There are two types of Cauliflower mushrooms: The one in the picture above is the Sparassis herbstii (base oak or pine trees) tree The other one is Sparassis crispa (base of Pine Tree). Both are considered choice...

I was out yesterday shrooming and I found 5 Cauliflower mushrooms of the variety in the picture... As you know there are two types of Cauliflower mushrooms..

The flavor is choice.. I made some Spinach and wild mushroom soup the other day with the Cauliflower mushrooms I found.. The flavor was so nice in a soup...
