Yep, at least beat the teams you should beat "on paper" as they say. Came out sharp.

A Sid milestone. They said first time he's scored Pens' first goal of season, in 18 seasons.

It's bewildering, with their skill players one would think having less bodies and wide open ice would greatly favor their scorers.

Maybe they try to be too precise, one pass too many, just keep putting it on net and someone is gonna get a gift rebound.

Perhaps a strategy to try. Okay boys, we want to get 30 shots on goal in the next five minutes. What do they have to lose?

On these trajectories the Pens scoring per game may end up higher than the Steelers.

Pens in Western Canada on back-to-backs, and weed is legal.

Gonna be a step slow against the Flamers tonite.

Then another back-to-back on the road. How crappy is that.

Yeah, their OT performance is confusing for sure. You'd think with more room and less interference it would play to their "strengths".

This team's propensity to give up very early or very late in a period is even more maddening than the OT issue.

Team is trending into Steeler mode. Lots of old, expensive guys and not a whole lot of upper echelon young talent.

Got a little run going, points in like six of last seven. Long way to go but at least stopped the freefall.

Kudos to Geno for his 1,000th game. He gets more than his share of criticism and certainly at times can be maddening, but they don't win three cups without him.

Fans always want total success, dominate every year, live in the now. But when it's all over Pens fans will realize that the Crosby-Malkin-Letang triplets gave us a special run.

Pens on a roll, and gotta love Geno clinching the shootout win on the night his 1000th game was honored at home.

All the comments by Letang and the Pens indicate they expect him to be all right, but you never know. Best wishes to him.

The boys managed to rally from 0-2 to get a needed two against LV. A Kapanen sighting to boot! Be nice if he got it going a bit.

All the early news on Letang is still positive, so let's hope it stays that way.

Kapanen with the HT. Man, if they can just get this guy going, just steady, it would be a big plus. Let's hope his little break from action has caused something to click.

I don't know these guys, but its easy to just say well, guy needed a fire lit under his butt. Could be true. Or, KK may be a hard worker, trying hard, nothing going right, no puck luck, frustration sets in. Sometimes a step back resets things.

Like a baseball hitter in a slump. A few games off, boom, goes 3 for 4 with a few RBI in the next five games.

Either way, I'll take it.

Soccer player: Writhes on the ground like a gut shot deer when an opposing player with a slightly less atrophied upper body brushes against his atrophied upper body.

A tough stretch of the top tier Metro teams is looming. Cannot completely poo the bed in those games. Not saying they must stay this hot, but definitely not the time to go 0-3-2 or something. Long season.

Letang is really struggling after the stroke. A shell of his former self. Played ONLY 22 minutes in his return 😁.

Seriously, that's pretty remarkable. Good for Kris. I don't care that these guys are getting long in the tooth or sometimes do exasperating things. They hung three Cup banners. I will ride it into the ground with them.
