Ed, it was a pleasure to have you up for the weekend of fox squirrel hunting. My woods is a once selective cut woods that was a pasture with hickory and oak. Corn fields really draw them well. Spaced out nut trees also are a give away. Years ago we would gather (about 5 of us ) in what would be my future woods and shoot a limit each of fox squirrel and have a feed. Really fun, and with good food. Those fox squirrel are large and heavy with lots of meat. We use .22, .22 mag, .22 hornet or shotgun (16, 20, .410 ga. These critters are a blast to hunt. Gary U
