THANK YOU PGC for another amazing Middle Creek hunt!

The absolute most memorable hunt I've ever had without pulling the trigger! Saw 27-30 deer. Many of which were buck. I was not one of the fortunate ones to draw a buck tag. I could have shot at least 5 different buck. Including a BIG 8 that was standing broadside 20 yards in front of me just as proud as could be. I saw one bigger than him (A REAL MONSTER) at first light but couldn't count points. I just couldn't get a doe to stop in range! Every time a few deer would run by and then stop, I never had a good shot at a doe. PLUS there were so many buck that I had to be very careful. Saw a bunch of spikes. Wasn't into taking shots at running deer with my flintlock. I busted a flock of about 12-15 turkey off the roost going in (they were scattered around all day) and I had a coyote run by at 15 yards.

The number of buck I saw was amazing! I've never seen anything like that in all my years of hunting!! 3/4 of the deer that I could identify had some sort antlers. From spikes to gigantic racks and everything in between.

The end number was 20 deer killed. No buck except for one that had dropped his antlers and some button buck.

Sorry waterfowlers! Not many canadas there. Did see two very small flocks of snows with about a dozen in each flock.
