While at the taxidermist in Texas making arrangements to have my bigger buck mounted, I noticed some plaque mounts waiting for pickup on State of Texas shaped plaques. I asked them if they had the plaques for sale. They did and I thought it would be a cool mount for my smaller buck. Here it goes.

First time I used leather to cover one, I usually use velvet. Going to do my Pa archery buck from this season in leather as well, but instead of gluing and folding under like I did this one, I think I’ll cut a matching rickrack strip and tack the edges like I do with velvet.

It would.

I make a couple of different archery plaques, but have never come up with a real good idea for a blackpowder plaque. With a screen name like Hawken, maybe you could come up with some ideas?
