The saddle community has been playing around with these for a few years. The commercially avaialable version is called EONPEOW climbers or something thereabouts. I feel it has potential but the versions available are heavy. I think the concept has potential to be the next frontier of public land legal mobile but it needs some refinement. Basically tree spurs marry a climber.
