Anybody know how adaptable American larch is to stream bank sites in PA?

I know its native to some parts of PA but can you transplant it to drier sites like you can bald cypress?

I planted Tamarack seedlings on dry sites years ago and they have done quite well. Have even had some natural regeneration from those.

I hunt a reclaimed mine that was planted with tamarack they must like pore dry soil cause they are full grown doing great

Nicest stand of larch I know of lines the banks of a small stream.
