Any suggestions on what kind of loads to use in a 50 cal. T/C Firestorm flintlock? From the reading I've done, it's recommended you use Pyrodex pellets. Anyone have any ideas of tips? Thanks

I have not had any luck with pellets in my Firestorm, nor have three of my buddies that have them. Inconsistant ignition for us.

I took the advice of the members here and did alot of shooting this summer. With 90 grains of Elephant BP behind a 245 grain aerotip Powerbelt I am getting honest 1.25 inch groups at 50 yards.

I have benn shooting a firestorm in .50 for years. I have never used anything but real blackpowder, Goex in 2F.
I use a .490 Hornady Ball on top of .015 lubed patch and 70 grains of the Goex 2F and Goex 4F in the pan and #5 english flints purchased from Track of the Wolf. One ragged hole at 25 yds and a 3 in group at 50.
