Has anyone tried to camo over a pink stock using Krylon spray paint? I am wondering if it would cover such a bright color.

Also, I see a lot of camo jobs that use a light brown as the base coat and then paint some green over some leaves, etc to make the pattern. Is there an advantage of doing it this way? It seems that using green as the base would be more realistic since then the leaves would end up being green. I guess it probably makes no difference in the end since just the broken up pattern is what you are after.

Give it to a 5 year old with some OD green, brown and black Rust-o-leum and you'll probably come out with a decent looking stock.

Seriously, every home made camo job I've seen started with the green as the base.
