How often do you guys replace your cables on your treestands? I purchased my stand in 02 and use it ALOT, prob 75% of the days you can hunt deer I'm in it during the year. I've replaced the shrink tubing and it needs replaced again, but have you guys had any issues with the cables themselfs?

I replaced mine since it is braided. I had my truck tailgate cable snap once and don't want that to happen with my stand. Check out Summit in the archery hall at the eastern outdoors show for replacement cables.

I still have my original cables on my '99 or '00 circa Bushmaster. I just cut off the worn shrink wrap and replace it with camo duct tape. That lasts about 2 years then I rip it off and do it again. Cheaper than buying new cables and they always look fine when I remove the tape. I'll need to find some paint this year though. Most of my paint on the teeth and backside of the stand is worn off to the shiny aluminum.

Mine is as old as yours and I replaced them last season just to be safe.
