I have recurve bow, the ones like we used to use in Middle School gym classes that needs a string. I am not sure what its AMO is - my question to you is how do you tell for sure what string length to buy? What measurements should be taken to determine? It has to be a smaller string than 58" that I use on a Mamba recurve I own, becasue its length (tip to tip) is shorter. thanks..

The rule of thumb is 4" shorter than the nok to nok length for a recurve and 3" shorter for a long bow. But it also depends on string material.

There are a few experts here that will be able to get in to more detail. But I hope this gives you an idea
