Got these two older climbers that are loud and heavy; just trying to still use them. Was thinking of strapping it in like a hang-on and using sticks/steps to climb up. Anybody ever done this before?
You may be able to dampen or eliminated the noise. Do you know what causes the noise. I add pipe insulation, tighten bolts that don't need to slip, oil, add electrical tape and replace chain/cable and guards as required to be whisper quite during carry in and climbing.
Being able to use it as a climber will give you more flexibility in hunting locations.
