Does anyone know the reason why some Dauphin Co. Streams are going to be stocked AFTER the SE Mentored Youth opener??

Not only is this a lost opportunity for local youth and their parents who may want to fish their home stream...it increases the pressure on the surrounding streams.

I checked some other counties and see some other waters are stocked after MY as well.

Yes, the PFBC simply does not have enough time to get all the streams stocked in time for the MY day. They cannot begin preseason stocking until Mar.1 since the extended season runs until Feb.28. That only gives them 3 weeks to stock the 18 regional counties before the MY day. They must also begin stocking the remainder of the state during that time also. They must also schedule the stockings in a way that allows them some wiggle room in case we get an early March snowstorm.
