My plots were planted in Winter Wheat, Crimson Clover, and Rape in the Fall. Which was great by the way and I will be repeating this Fall. My thoughts for the Spring are planting Crimson clover, soybeans and rye grass in a mix in the fields. My reasoning being the deer will eat the beans right away, the rye will be a nurse crop and let the clover mature enough to last spring until late summer when I will disc up and plant the fall crop.

1. Which rye do I plant? One is good and one is a weed right?
2. Is there another clover to plant along with the crimson?
3. Is my reasoning good and any thoughts outside those lines?
