I have been wanting to get a new call for a year or two, but like so may other things I havent't had the money. My wife bought me a spitfire for Christmas and I have been playing around with it at the house and have had it out 3 nights so far (so far no luck yet). I really like it and think it is a great call especially for the price other than 1 thing....the volume. I have been running it mostly on #3 because it seems like #1-2 are way too soft and I don't want to start too loud on 4-5. Also seems like a huge jump when you go from 3-4. I do realize that it makes a difference which direction the speaker is facing, how strong the wind is, etc.

Anyone else have one and notice this at all? What level do you start calling at with yours?

I have a Spitfire call and start out with 3 just in case something is close by then switch to 5 if nothing shows up after 5 minutes.
