The Covered Bridge Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society and the Pennsylvania Game Commission will hold a free habitat workshop for private landowners Sat., June 5 at the South Strabane Township Volunteer Fire Department on Oak Spring Road.

The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The program, which is titled Managing Uplands for Ruffed Grouse and American Woodcock, will include information on species of concern and landowner assistance, the wildlife habitat incentive and other US Department of Agriculture programs, choosing wildlife planting, local habitat management in practice, and the Covered Bridge Chapter habitat outreach.

Registration for the event is free, but space is limited.
