After many days afield and practice with the .243 Remington youth model 7, 8 year old Eli's patience paid off, as he connected with his first harvest in WMU 2B. It was a great day in our home celebrating with Mommy and 6 year old younger brother who is "chomping at the bit" for his turn in a couple of years...

(note: Eli insisted on dragging the deer by himself... and he did... all the way back to the truck!!)

Congrats! I've got two sons, the oldest of the two got his first deer at age 10 & the youngest of the two got his this year at age 10 as well. It's great fun to be able to take kids hunting & share the Heritage!
