These guys just showed up recently.

Common Redpoll

Red-breasted Nuthatch

I'm hoping to get some better pics before they disappear.

What are you using, thistle? I've never seen a red-breasted nuthatch before. Pretty cool picture

The Red-breasted nuthatch is a hit and run bird too. At the feeder, grab a seed and gone. At least that is my experience.

Great pictures. So far this year I have had Red-Brested Nuthatch,Pine Siskins and White-winged Crossbills. There are reports of lots of Redpolls farther north from here, hopfully they move in soon. Its been years since I had them at my feeders.

That they are. Even at the suet feeder they don't stick around long. It's tough to get a picture of the little buggers.

This is the first year I've noticed either species here.
