Thanks.
The inside width of bend is 2 1/4". I made a few mock ups with trapping wire to see how I should do the bends.
First bend from shaft is 90 degrees and easy to do with vise.
The deep bend- A spray paint can is 2 1/2" and will work. I had some firewood nearby and pick above piece,2 1/4", which worked best for bend.

I have a few golf clubs that (at times) I wouldn't mind using for something like that!
Years ago, I cut off head of golf clubs for walking sticks for wife and I. They are still in good shape.

The above posts are from last spring.
update- with warmer weather lately, folks want a snake hook
I made several snake hooks this week for family members and friends. I'll picture a couple.

Our daughter wanted a CopperheadedBlackRattler paint job, so I came up with this color pattern.
I used a piece of old fish bag for paint pattern.

Thank you.
I had a few graphite, but they were not hollow shaft. I couldn't epoxy hook into shaft. I'll stick with metal shaft, which are extremely lite weight.
