smoked salsa

Made salsa last week but got a idea before hand. I cleaned & cut tomatoes in half.Put 3/4 of them in my smoker (3 racks full) & hung the pepper in to. Smoked for 1 1/2 hour then made salsa. The 1st jar we opened the next day didn't seem to have smoke but 1 week later it taste great. Not real strong just a hint of smoke. Everybody that tried it liked it but you know the guinea pigs are not always honest.
