I would take the tire off and get it patched. but it still might leak. slime is something that gets you back to the truck not a permnant fix.

my tires look like swiss chees they have so many holes in them. they used to go flat within 12hrs. i ride in VA where theres tons of thorn trees so its nearly impossible to not pick one up. i slimed all four tires and they havent needed air since. that was back in june. im not worried about a little balance problem if it arises, its a heavy lead sled 700 sportsman, so its a beast to drive anyway.
