I've had a few of each and as of now the score is one 870 20 ga and 3 rem 11-48 in 20,16 and 12 I just like the old guns my self I dont use them much except for rabbit hunting for all the clay games the auto is a better platform hunting I had just as much sucess with either I voted for the 11-87 by the way ran my best skeet scores for several years with one when they hit the market it replaced a 1100 that is a great one also

I think both are great guns, but I voted for the 11-87. I have one set up for turkey hunting and it is smooth as silk and a pleasure to carry. It also smacks them upside the head really well !!
