Went to proshop on monday to get my sons bow setup, there was a guy buying a new mathews Z7. The tech asked if I would like to shoot one,he had a demo all setup,so I took a couple of shots. It is a very nice bow, smooth, quiet minimal hand shock,The one thing I did not like was the grip,I guess I am used to the narrow grip on my Bowmadness. He told me that they are selling like crazy, mathews can not keep up with the demand.I am not in market for a new bow, just thought I would give it a try.

Before i ordered my Hoyt Maxxis 35 I shot the Z7,Monster,Alpha burner and Maxxis in the same night. The Maxxis and Z7 were very comparable to me. No hand shock, smooth draw, a good wall and just felt good. The bow had a little more torque then the Maxxis. I also wanted an 80# draw weight and the Z7 just didn;t have it. So i got the Maxxis which is at the shop right now waiting on me to pick it up. I think being a Hoyt guy for the past 12 rs influenced my decision a little also.
