Not sure if this is the right forum for this. I'll be selling some boxes of rifle ammunition and am wondering who do I use for shipping it? I know you can't use the Post Office, would it be UPS? Any idea of costs and procedures I have to go thru? Thanks!

I'd evaluate the USPS' "If It Fits, It Ships" flat rate boxes. Depending on how much you are shipping, it could be worth it.

For example, if you happen to use Freedom Munitions Brass Exchange program, you can fit upwards of 40-50 lbs of brass in the large flat rate box. $16 to ship 40-50lbs? Done.

PS: Tape the crap outta the box!

USPS will not ship "Explosive Material"
Loaded Munitions
Primers
Powder

UPS or FedEx will if you got the $$
Cost will depend on weight, size, and distance

Ammo through UPS must be shipped ground and marked ORM-D .
There is no longer an ORM-D labeling requirement. It now needs a "limited quantities" hazmat diamond. You can still ORM-D for a while if you'd like, though.

You can ship through a contract carrier such as UPS, Fedex, DHL, etc. it is illegal to ship loaded ammunition via USPS. UPS policy says that you need to ship it from a customer center, not a UPS Store.
