Does anyone have any good ideas for shell cases? I have seen the plastic ones. I normally buy a box and keep them in therebut the box got wet and fell apart. I learned a lesson because i bought 180 grain and 150 grain bullets...once the box is toast you know knothing. Are there any nice fitting good waterproof boxes similar in size to what you purchase in the store?

Are you asking about storing or carrying them in the field?

Storage wise I use MTM 50 or 100 round boxes.

In the field I use old Uncle Mikes folding 10 round nylon pouches on my belt. The one in the middle of this picture...

Mine are an older style with two pockets instead of the elastic straps. I treat them with Camp Dry or Hunt Dri.

The plastic cases work good. If you only are buying 1 box of shells at a time, they make plastic boxes that hold only 20. then they go 50, and 100. if im hunting, then ill put my shell holder on the stock and carry the extra that way.

at home i have several Cabelas Dry boxes and military ammo boxes that i put my extra rounds in their plastic boxes. I reload most all what i shoot so i know what I have. But that is only because i reload. Dry boxes are great storage!
