Does anybody hunt SGL 057? I saw a camp for sale near there and was wondering if it is worth a closer look. It is just West of the windmills. The closest town I think would be Noxen. Looks like there aren't a lot of camps in that area. might be an advantage. I know some areas of WMU 3B can be really hit or miss as far as deer that's why I ask.
Thanks

Ended not going Sunday but I did hit your side at the pheasant stocking area yesterday (24th) Ran the pot lickers and ran some rabbits. Big surprise no ticks. Bigger surprise no birds, I mean not even song birds.
Hoop looked nice, bit fast but clear as it gets in that area. Headed down Sugar hollow and noticed there was still snow up on the ridge line of South Mt.
Started hearing the peepers on this side of the SGL. Waugh!
Yep. 1610 hours I believe.

That's a nice fish. I finally got some action today. Marsh Creek in Chester County. A dozen yellow perch, a bluegill, a green sunfish and a micro largemouth. A few people caught a couple crappie but they certainly weren't running.

Wol find some big shiners an put them deep under a slip bob.
Not much snow or ice this winter so the river looks calm. It rises and falls on what is happening up NY more than the local weather. Crossed the Tunkhannock bridge one day and it was down and clear the next day it was muddy but not up much. Local rain will melt what is left on the hills and the river will rise and fall quick. Waugh!
Whatever the weather is up North is what determines the level on all branches of the Susqy.

For what kind of fish? Big bass? Musky? Those are the apex predators in that lake. It was really drawn down. The back area were everyone crappie fishes was shallow and the creek that goes from the main lake to the pond area with the crappies was quite narrow and shallow. Wonder if any muskies were back there yet.

Wow!! That's pretty cool. Our only keeper musky was caught at Ricketts Glen. Lake Jean, 1979. Lost a nice one in Green Lane Reservoir and caught a small one in the Skuke. None more recently than the 1980s.

I'm going to try crappie fishing at Marsh Creek this afternoon.

Have not caught a crappie yet this year. A coupe trips to Marsh Creek have produced mostly yellow perch. My son caught some crappie and white perch from Ontalanee (sp?). Caught a few stocked rainbows from the local creek.

We are heading up next Friday. Will be trying Ganoga Lake for bass and pickerel. The water is probably 100 below zero still, but we're itching to try.

Does anyone have any info on the cell tower across from the Job Core? I have not seen anyone working on it and there is no cell reception in the area but it appears to be complete.

Ah, love this time of year. So wish I could be up in the mountains this weekend like usual but I got puppies due. Down here they burned Beltzville Lake WMA a week or two ago plus they've been thinning out some of the hedgerows. Seems like they're ripping out some of the invasives that have just choked them. Machine just obliterates them. They're doing it on several gamelands down this way.

I wish they would burn some of the high bush blueberries and bring them back to life. Waugh!

Not sure how cell towers work. They put one in about 2 miles from my house and I lost what little reception I had at home. Go figure. Waugh!
