Does anybody hunt SGL 057? I saw a camp for sale near there and was wondering if it is worth a closer look. It is just West of the windmills. The closest town I think would be Noxen. Looks like there aren't a lot of camps in that area. might be an advantage. I know some areas of WMU 3B can be really hit or miss as far as deer that's why I ask.
Thanks

PennConn can access their property from the road past out camp (Coal Mine Rd.) Coal Mine Rd. comes off the Dutch Mt. Rd. just north of the Bellasylva Rd. and before you cross Santee Creek. They pass by our camp and then through Yeager Mt. Assoc. land. I remember few years back PennConn and Yeager Mt. were fighting over access. I believe PennConn can also access their land off of 87 also.
Pappy, have you seen a map of the proposed trail? Also, Lone Pine Hunting Lodge doesn't ring any bells, do you know where this property is?
Thanks Pappy. I didn't know the Hemlocks had sold. Do you know if they have info about the trail extension at the State Forest Bldg? I'll be up it two weeks, I have to stop in at there and see what I can find out.
Pigeon Creek bridge. The Sully had something in about it a couple of weeks ago. I think it said September but can't remember for sure.
It's Frost Hollow.

If my link doesn't work check out cspot's "Mourning Dove Changes" post in Small Game.
Lopez it is for the first day of bear. This should prove interesting. Waugh!
Will probably be in that area myself on Saturday. Thinking about the old railroad grade.

Good luck to all tomorrow. Was planning on being out tomorrow myself but some family and work things came up and I'm not going to make it to camp this weekend.
Was that what was hanging along 487 just north of Rouse Pond Rd.? Was wondering what that was.

What is the name of that collection of camps/house right there? I know our older members call it by name but I can't remember what it was and I can't find it on any of the maps I just checked.

Ok, this is driving me nuts. I know that place has a name and I 99% sure I've even saw it on a map, but I can't find it anywhere. Unfortunately the older camp member that I would ask pass away last January. Made a phone call or two, maybe I'll find something out.

Alright, I got it. It is Leisterville.

Saw hare tracks on both 13 & 57 second week of buck.

You're asking an awful lot there Mr. Bridger. I was lucky to come up with the name. :smile_big:
Maybe a letter to the Sully would produce that info.

That's the right place. The cabin with the green roof is right across from the telephone booth.
I used that phone a couple of time to call home when we first built are new camp. Saved me a drive into Dushore and a waiting in line. There was never a line at that phone booth. It's probably been at least 15 years since I used it.

I have from a good source that the Thunderbird was rocking this weekend. Missed it. Waugh!
Was in there the first day of spring gobbler last year. Five of us from camp ate dinner at the Dushore Hotel then two of the guys insisted that we stop at the Thunderbird to see the dog collect the tip money and take it behind the the bar. A can of Coors ended up costing me $15.00. We were the only ones there.
I miss the Chalet and the Pine Tavern. Ate a lot of meals in those two places when I was single and could spend a lot more time at camp.
How is every one and everything doing up there? Heard Dushore area took a hit last night.
