My brother has a serious eye disease. He is having difficulty with the multiple crosshair scopes on the market. He needs one with only one crosshair in it. Please don't recommend a rifle scope. They are not designed for crossbow shooting. Are there any makers still making a single crosshair scope for crossbows. I've checked all the brand name crossbow co's but they all sell the multiple hair scopes. His issue doesn't fit well with the electronic dot scopes either. His ideal scope would be a 4X, one crosshair type. Any ideas or suggestions?
How goes, been a while.... There are Red Dot's on the market that have adjustable optics that I might assume would address your brothers issues. Perhaps another look at those before he calls them null and void... Hope you work it out.
His experience with electronic ( dot type) scopes has shown he can't use them because they don't work well in sunlight. NO electronics for him. Must be a single crosshair with magnification
What's wrong with a rifle scope? There arn't many options if you rule them out...IIRC..there is a yardage adjustable base (I believe made by HAA) available for crossbows to use with rifle scopes.
I just love my shorty fourty from sun optics, Been on my crossbow 4 years, Two models, one with just an x and another with mil dot, Ao also, Works great on my 22's also.
Check them, Might be what you need
Ps good Custermer service too.
Rifle scopes can be used on crossbows. If a rifle scope fails, it is because it is very poorly made or a faulty scope. Many long range shooters prefer rifle scopes on top of a HHA Optimizer.
