Do I have spend big bucks for a scope for this rifle that will hold its adjustment? The Center Point 4x32 that came with the gun never would hold, and two cheap tasco 3x9's have bit the dust as was expected.

I don't want to break the bank for a scope for a $130 rifle.

I have done some research on air rifle scopes for less than $100 which is kinda my limit, but it seems that almost every one has had someone give a bad review on a specific model.

Any suggestions for a scope that you have personal experience with that you could recommend?

You may already know this, but I was surprised to learn (about 20 years ago) that air rifles require scopes specifically designed for air rifles. I guess the force generated from the recoil of an air rifle is distributed differently than a conventional weapon. Unless the scope is designed with this in mind not even high quality optics are guaranteed to hold up. I've never been into airguns so I have no recommendations, good luck.

simoncool is correct, there is a difference between a Air rifle and center fire rifle recoil. With an air gun there is a forward recoil as the air forces the pellet from the muzzle and as you know a center fire thrusts backwards. With that being said, I have a Crossman Nitro-Venom .177, I had the same problem with the Center Point 3x9 that came with the gun, it would not zero in at all, a friend told me he also had the same problem with his Center Point and that he purchased a 3x9 Simmons rifle scope for 40.00 and it works fine, so I bought one for my air rifle , sighted it in and it`s been on my gun for the past 3 years, with well over a thousand rounds and is holding zero with no problems. Any scope you get is better than a Center Point, they are junk, Good Luck with what ever scope you decide on.....

Yes I am aware of the fact that air rifles need an air rifle specific scope. The center point that came with the rifle from new surely should have been an air rifle scope, but who knows. The tascos were not air rifle rated, and I think I knew what would happen to them, however while they lasted they held zero.

Thanks for all the replies,I just purchased and mounted a simmond 8 point 4x32, not specifically rated for air fifle ,but have read some good reviews from some that have used simmons on air guns. Have not sighted it in yet, well see ,if it doesn't work I'll have to consider the UTG.
