My assessment. I've never been able to detect a difference in performance between the two, other than Schuetzen to me, seems to shoot a little bit "dirtier". Someone else, may have a different opinion of course.


I have never hesitated using it.

Yep....same goes for that Elephant BP(made in Brazil) that was on the market for a while. Swiss black powder is made by Schuetzen Powder Energetics, Inc. Schuetzen grade is not refined as well as their Swiss line. Swiss black powder is made entirely with alder buckthorn charcoal with a heavy graphite glazing which others lack..
