5719 Views 32 Replies 18 Participants Last post by  RB
Ok guys in order for folks to start planning thier weekend of 9/19-20 here is a SCEHDULE OF EVENTS. This schedule is subject to change as the planning meetings continue, however we will try to keep to close to this as possible.

I think when you look this over you will see some great events, seminars and opportunites to learn, socilaize, and have some serious fun.

Again , not "ut it in the brochure final" but I want our members to have adequate time to plan and SEE ALL THE GREAT THINGS we already got lined up....Any questions can be sent to me via PM, or we can start another thread as this will likely go as a global announcement which will close it to comments unfortunately.

BTW, anyone asking "Where has RB been??" Now ya know...
, sorry it is a little hard to read, an Excel copy and paste..my time is limited for clean-up right now.

Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

What kind of fish are in the lake?
Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

Have a great time but I will not be up that way untill the first weekend in Oct.
Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

I know the lake gets stocked with trout by the state...but I'll let the club guys answer that one.
Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

Actually the State doesn't stock it, we belong to a trout co-op where we share in the cost of raising the trout with other clubs, then we haul them in and stock them.

We have stocked it pretty heavily this year, but I know we lost quite a few in the spring for some reason, not sure, not too involved in that project.

There are Trout, Bass, Crappie, and Panfish in the dam...

Feel free to bring your rods and try it out.

There are some rather large bass in the upper part of the dam, but it is some work to get to it unless you bring a canoe...

Cant wait to see you guys there... !

Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

What exactly is the duck boat shoot?
Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

Do any of you trad bow guys want to turn this 3D shoot into a blanket shoot? Everyone brings something to place on the blanket. (small trad archery items) High score gets first pick and so on down the line.

They throw so many claybirds over a set amount of time 45 seconds I believe, you get two shells in your gun , then have to reload...all while in a rocking boat. I let the club guys clarify...but it sounded like a blast at the meeting.

I am thinking about starting thred on every event in here for questions and so guys can set-up teams etc...have not got to it yet.
Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

Hey RB... While the rocking boat sounds like alot of fun...

I dint think it would be very safe...

Not sure where that version came from, but sounds like fun with maybe a paint ball gun...

You set up two man teams, you are allowed to put three shells in you gun to start. When they blow the whistle, three traps, (the man house trap, and two portables off to either side, start putting off targets as fast as they can. There will be 50 targets, when they are gone and the dust settles you are scored for busted birds.

It is a ton of fun, and the challenge to it is to be watching the birds and trying to stuff shells in your gun.

You can sign up with a partner, or find one there...

It is so much fun, after you do it once, you will be back form more, again and again...

Cannot wait...

Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

The rocking boat was actually part of another clay shoot I did, i could not remember if it was part of this shoot or not.

Perhaps, you can do a thread on the this shoot (and others all in a seperate thread) so guys can get familar with them and pick partners etc...I was going to but my notes on them are by memory.
Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

Yes sir... Actually was going to do a sign up list some how and more information on each event on our website and link it from here. Alot of typing and coordinating...
BUt I will have it all up and running soon, I have a wedding in VA this weekend, but will have posted shortly there after.

Cant wait... Gonna be a blast !

THANKS!! Yes it will be a blast, I am having an anxiety attack every once in awhile about it...LOL, but it will be a blast.

Hope to get a to-do list together and PM "the gang" tonight.
Re: !!SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!! - HPA 10th Aniiversary

John check your PM's
at what distances will the 3d pegs be set at and will it be a deer only course

There are alot of different animals targets. Not sure what they are though...There are four classes of stakes on the range.

1) Youth - 10 yds
2) Beginner - 20 yds
3) Hunter - 30 yds
4) Professional - 40 yds

I think these are the distances, but the Youth and Beginner stakes may be a few yards this way or that, not sure exactly what they are...

Thanks!
OKAY GUYS! THE DEAL IS SEALED!
