I took my son to a youth fishing dreby this morning at a small community lake. There was a pair of redheads there all day. I have never seen one before. Im guessing they are nesting there since they never left with all the kids running around. How common are they here in SW Pa?

I saw them too, I took my kids to townsend in the evening. They've been there for a month. They're not common in the least, especially this time of year on a little community pond. They were getting harassed pretty badly by the pair of half breed mallards, I don't know if they'll stick it out. It would be pretty cool to see a nest of redheads be the result. The drake is about perfect.

Thats the lake. Those white ducks were the ugliest things ive seen. My son caught about a dozen trout, 1 tagged and won a raffle prize. it was a good day.

Redheads are neat ducks! I shot my first one this season on the Chessy in Janaury.
