Added a Savage 24 to the rack yesterday.Its a 22/410 made around 1963.Plan on the wife using it for when we bunny hunt.
Wonder if the hammer spring can be eased up?

Tater is right if you get on that forum and follow the instructions from the knowledgeable folks you can do alot to make your 24 what you want but check out the stuff carefully cause some just woolf about things they haven't tried!!

Like Asa said in the forum you cn find step by step info on how to increase the efeciency of your 24. just remember you can not put metal back so work slow and try try try!!
If you ever want to scope it you may want o keep the hammer stiff to retain enough impact if yiu put a hammer spur on it

My dad bought me one of those back around 1955 wish I still had that gun, don't remember what I ever did with it but I know it's gone.

If the hammer spring cannot be altered maybe a hammer extension would help, it would give you something to grab on to, and maybe get some more leverage.
