Is it legal to hunt inside a safety zone if the tenant/owner tells me it is OK with him?

If the "lawful occupant" gives you advance specific permission, then you may lawfully enter and hunt/trap within his safety zone. If it is a rented/leased property, then the owner may not always be the "lawful occupant".

Mike ... Just a followup ... There are situations where two or more occupied structures in close proximity could create a need to obtain permission from multiple "lawful occupants". As long as you are more then 150 yards from any other occupied structure, then you should be OK.

Mike I would get it in writting just in case a warden questions you. You won't have to go through the hassle to get it sorted out; it might take several hours of lost hunting time. If you have the paper with you that is signed he probably will follow up on his own and you could continue hunting. Just a thought.
