I know a round ball is best and traditional. If you shoot a sabot how do you remove plastic fouling in a flintlock?

Unless the rate of twist is around 1:28 sabots will most likely not shoot worth a hoot. To clean a flintlock of plastic is the same as with any other muzzleloader. You just use a plastic cleaning solvent and elbow grease.

I shoot them all the time with nothing left in the barrel. I shoot a hawkins with a geen mmp sabot and 240 gr xtp 430. out to 100 yards and puts them down!! 110 grains of 2f

I never have any plastic in my bores either but just the same I give it a swipe of shooters choice if I shoot it a bunch. It say's it removes plastic on the bottle.

And yes it does put em down pretty good. I have only taken deer with the xtp in 300 and 200 grains; they do good---not magic or anything but they work.
