sabot or round ball?

Hey guys I figured no better place to ask this than here. I own a Lyman Deerstalker LH and was thinking of trying a few sabots to get alittle better downrange accuracy and grouping but didnt want to spend ALL that time doing trial and error so I figured maybe someone with the same gun could tell me what they shoot and with what type of success or should I just stick to the old RB. Sorry if this sounds lazy but there is no harm in asking right?

I just shoot RB's out of my deerstalker. I have shot the TC Maxi hunters out of it and they didn't group nearly as good as the RB's are, of course i have not shot as many of them

What is the twist rate of this gun?

As a rule sabots shot better out of guns with a fast twist rate, ie 1:28 and round balls shot better out of guns with a slow twist rate, ie 1:66

1:28 Conical
1:60 Round Ball
1:48 OK with both

The deerstalkers generally like 80grs of FFFg,.490-.495 RB,patch of .018 or .020.
