Yea Jager, I like the zigzag bore pattern on legs. Rustic. I leave knots on legs (vs. sanding smooth) for rustic appearance.
The above legs, I draw knifed to cambium bark layer to have darker legs (vs. white Ash legs).
Never timed it.
Never had a time to start or finish. I mostly use hand tools i.e., handsaw, planes, draw knives, hand sanding and such.
I think I spend the most time on the legs.
Working around knots, sanding, making and fitting tendons, placing legs where they look best (each one is different), cutting slot for wedge, touch up sanding, cutting & leveling legs, beveling bottom of legs.
