I have a family member looking for a Ruger rifle. It is the model with the slim synthetic stick with Ruger in large letters. Is there a particular name or model number for this style stock?

He is looking for a 308/7MM-08/243 stainless with this type stock.

Thanks for any info.

Yep, looks exactly like a boat paddle.

I tried using that on gun broker and got 0 matches for that criteria

It might be a little easier to find a gun in the caliber of your choice and swap the stock out on it. Sometimes the boat paddle stocks can be had for cheap as guys tend dump them. Just be sure the gun has the three position safety, not the tang safety.

It's a M77 skeleton stock. They made the M77 MKII all weather with that stock. I found on the ruger site that they started producing that stock in 1987 and discontinued it in 1999/2000.

Search Skeleton on gunbroker, they will pop up. Not long ago a guy on Pennswoods was selling 6 of them, they may still be on there. Also search the word Zytel on the gun sales websites, thats the name of the compound the stock is made of, alot of dealers call them Zytels in their ads.
