I was walking my propert this morning and noticed some of my pines and spruce have been chewed by rodents. Do you think they can survive and is there anything I can do to help them survive?

Sorry, forgot the need to be on a web page. Anyway, the bottom of the trees are totally stripped about three inches up from the ground.

LAST winter rabbits ate alot of the needles off the spruce trees I planted, about half lived the rest died. All of the ones I watered the next spring and summer survived.

Mine pines and mulberries always seem to get chewed up the most by the porcupines. Not sure why they like them the most?
