A firend of mine has asked me to try to repair a set of antlers. He shot this buck last year in MD and didn't find it until the farmer told him about it about a month later. He took the buck and legally tagged it.
The antlers are faded and there are parts of the points that are chewed away. Some points are chewed half way through and others are chewed completely off. I have done repairs like this before but nothing this big.
I have read somewhere that using Old English for the fading works great. Do any of you have any recommendations on clays or epoxys that work well for remolding the antlers shapes. I preferrably want something that when finished will accept the stain that I use. Thanks for any recommendations.
