Does anyone know the best cleaner to use to remove camo tape adhesive from a shot gun? Without damaging the finish on the stock or forearm? I was going to try WD40 since it works great on sticker adhesive on windows. I'm afraid to use any type of solvent on the wood finish. Thanks..

Yep, WD or Goo Gone. Either one won't hurt the finish , stock or metal. Just wet the residue, don't dump the stuff on, allow it to work for a few minutes then wipe it off. Repeat the process until its clean. It may take a few applications depending how long the tape was on.

Goo gone or lighter fluid always worked for me.

Thanks for the tips guys. After going down the basement for the WD40 I found not 1 but 3 empty cans sitting on the shelf. Kid used it all on his bike. My kid likes putting the empty gallon of milk back in the fridge as well. lol. Anyways, I grabbed a can of Colt T12 gun oil and thought I might try it. Couldn't hurt. It worked really well! Best thing is the gun still smells like a gun. Thanks again and good luck this season!
