I own 4 big-game hunting rifles...and crazy as it sounds, my Remington 710 (30-06) is the most accurate of any of them!


Yeah, it's gotten a lot of bad press. And it's got an ugly grey plastic stock. And it cycles a little rough. And I had to paint a red dot on it so I know when it's on "safe". But I kid you not, when I go to the range, it out-performs all of my other guns.

Any other 710 fans?

Maybe I'm lucky, I haven't had this happen. I bought mine in 2004, maybe some of the problems had been worked out?
There is a little lever (bolt stop) on the side of the breech, when this is pushed fully down, the bolt shouldn't slide out, think this may be the problem?

I've had good luck with all Remington products, so far.
