Does anyone on here reload shotgun shells? I am looking into getting a reloader and I am not sure how much I would actually save reloading them myself. Right now I have been buying remingtons for a little over $5 a box, so would it be any cheaper to reload them?
Thanks

it all depends n gauge
for 12g there was little to no savings
for 16g,28g,410g there is money to be saved
20g was a borderline gauge, you can save $, but is it worth it.
the key to reloading cheap is buying in bulk

this all was before the ammo hoarding set in.
so who knows what the end result will be.

shot was already expensive and primers are getting hard to find

It's very subjective and, to me, the math of trying to figure out cost savings based on the prices of: shot, primers, hulls, powder and wads is all secondary to the enjoyment I get from the act of reloading by itself. I worked with a guy who actually figured in his hourly wage as part of his relaoding activity. Insanity... When I began reloading shotshells years ago a 25 pound bag of chilled shot cost about $18 and that was the major expense in terms of components.
