I have a .308 and a 7mm-08.
The Germans have a reg that says a bullet must produce 2000 joules of energy at 100 meters for hunting all cloven hoofed game. Only exception are the reh deer, then it's 1000 joules. I could use a .243 for them, but there are a lot of wild pigs around and they would require the more energy bullet. Just need to aim careful so to NOT hit the shoulder.
I would love to bow hunt these things, but it's prohibited here, because of the above regulation.
