Will reds come into grey pup distress? I have had critters come in to this call a few times, I never got a shot or could ID them.

In my experience, it works the other way: grays will come to the red fox distress call. Gray fox are much more aggressive than the reds; where reds are very suspicious, and cautious. It is even tough to call reds with a red fox distress call; but grays come arunnin to a gray pup call.

I was hunting a gaswell using FOXPRO scream'n'gray and had a red jump across the trail and never saw him again.

Random question here but did you buy an ice shanty off of someone and met up with them off 422 at trader horn a couple winters ago?

Its not my go to for reds but, grey fox pup in distress will call in reds. In my experience the ones that do come in are typically adult males.
