First shots with my new lens. Caught this guy on my way back from lunch. I know I ain't no Crappy ner Griz, but it's a start.

Real nice pics. I have been seeing a lot of them along Interstate 81. They should be doing a great job cleaning up rodents. Thanks for the post.

it would be nice if they just stuck with rodents
but rabbits and ring-necks comprise the bulk of their diet when available

griz, you've been waiting for months to see a red-tail?

I see at least one every day. Drive the Beaver Valley Expressway from Moon to Chippewa and you will see at least 3 or 4

the barrinig on the tail looks a little too prominent to be a juvenile red-tail
maybe an adult red shouldered, though the chest is not buff enough

Hmm good point. Could it be a very large Merlin?
