if a buck is 2.5 years old and has no brow tines is he likely to not have them every year? I think he will never grow them what is your opinion?

Im betting he will grow brows. Ive seen plenty of younger deer without them but I sure cant remember many mature deer that didnt.

I agree with you TS, if he doesnt have them by then probably wont get them.

the reason im asking is the buck I shot this year had an 18 in spread and no brows was a 5 point and weighed around 150 lbs dressed. I feel he was at least 2.5 but may have been 3.5. this was in the heart of farm country in Armstrong county.

i also agree. based on what we have seen in this area, they just don't get them. i believe it is a gene thing myself.

I am happy for you as well. The truth is no one can tell if it would have or not. Congrats on the buck. What were you using and how did it all go down. Waugh!
