Ok guys, so I am new around here and I should start by saying that rabbit hunting is my absolute FAVORITE game of the woods. I love hunting all small game, but there is something about the sound of a couple dogs running a bunny that just makes me itch. So with the season approaching I am faced with the same issue that has plagued me for the last several years. I live in western PA, about 1 1/2 hours east of Pittsburg, and I cannot seem to find rabbits very much around here. Rabbits have been on the decline in my area for some time, and while I have been finding them around this year a little more, it is still not enough to make me feel like I am having good days for rabbits. One rabbit up in five hours of hunting is straight depressing. So, does anyone have any suggestions on areas nearby that I might take my dogs this year? I live in Johnstown, PA (close to Altoona and Bedford if that is helpful). Hope to hear some encouraging words from someone. Thanks guys!
