I have had my crossbow 2 seasons and fired approx. 80 shots total. My hunting friend replaced the string on his ten-point and was surprised at how much it had stretched so I was thinking of replacing mine? Question is if I replace the string should I add a twist or 2 to each cable? I assume they have stretched some but not as much as the string?

I have also found that when the string is replaced ,the shot is a bit quieter.

Your cables take over 3 times as much force as your string. Replace all of them at the same time. If you can't afford to do cables and string, replace the cables first.
